2009 Dunkel Bock on sale on December 1st! |
Otaru Beer is releasing our next seasonal beer "Dunkel Bock" from December 1st!
Bock beers were originated at Cloister Breweries in Germany hundreds of years ago. During Lent, the monks fasted for long periods of time, and in order to keep their strength up, they were given permission by the Pope to produce the beer which eventually became known as the Dunkel Bock.
Otaru Dunkel Bock has a high alcohol content of 8.5 %, and has a very sweet, malty flavour. It is excellent for sipping late in the evening in front off an open fire during the winter months.
This beer will be available exclusively at Leibspeise, Otaru Soko #1 and any other outlets which serve Otaru Beer on draught. It will also be available in our special reserve 1 liter bottles. Only 100 of these special reserve bottles will be hand filled, hand labeled, signed by our Brewery Director, Johannes Braun. For more information please call Otaru Beer Zenibako Brewery at 0134-61-2280. |
