「夢の３シェフ競演」

July 28 (Tuesday) 8:35~9:25 Live Broadcast by NHK at Otaru Soko #1 Pub and Brewery

Contest between three chefs:Japanese Cuisine • Italian Cuisine • Chinese Cuisine 

The Theme for this program will be Summer Foods in Otaru.  The day before the program the chefs will travel around the various local markets of Otaru in search of the best ingredients for their recipes.  Food will be cooked the day of the show!

Schwarz Beer Available July 15th!

Schwarz Beer was first brewed in Eastern Germany around 1543.  This Beer has a wonderful Dark color and rich Espresso-like flavor without a burnt character!  It has a very uncharacteristic light body and a sweet creamy head of foam which makes Otaru Beer's Schwarz a Great Beer for Summer with an alcohol content of only 4.8%!

Will be available:

1. Leibspeise and the Leibspeise Summer Beer Terrace by the glass!
2. Otaru Soko #1 by the glass!
3. For those who would like to enjoy it at home, call Home Delivery for 300 ml Bottles or 5 and 12.5 Liter Kegs!

On the Day of the Dance we will meet at Otaru Soko #1 from 11:00 until 16:00 on the 25th of July.  We will dance the Parade route which ends at the Main Stage of the Festival and then adorn for a party at the Otaru Beer Festival Tent for beer!

Leibspeise  All-You-Can-Drink Friday’s

Another major change we would like to announce is the special Friday Nomihodai Event.  This as yet unnamed event, will be a nomihodai which, just like on Beer Club evenings, will start at 18:00 and continue on until 23:00 with the last order being announced at 22:30.  (5 Hours for ¥2,200) 

Announcing Sales of Helles Bock Beer on June 1st! 

Otaru Beer is planning on the start of Sales of our next Seasonal Beer, "Helles Bock" from June 1st!  The Helles Bock has a fairly dark Amber Gold Color with an alcohol content that weighs in at approximately 8%.  It is a very mellow beer with a substantial malty character and creamy mouth-feel.  You are sure to enjoy every drop!

This beer will be available exclusively at Leibspeise, Otaru Soko #1 and any other shops which serve Otaru Beer on Draught.  All inquiries should be made to the Otaru Brewery at Zenibako.
